| Why Guardian Homes? Our preference is for all our breeding dogs to have a family and home of their own and for this reason we keep a limited number of dogs at our own property and utilize guardian homes as much as possible. Guardians homes can be a great opportunity for both the dog and the participating family. The guardian gets a great dog at 1/2 price and the puppy gets a family of its very own. After the contract is completed (2-3 litters) then we pay to have the dog spayed, reimburse the purchase price and it belongs to the Guardian family forever. All testing and breeding related expenses are paid for by us we board the puppy here at our home at no cost if the guardian goes on vacation. How does it work? When the puppy reaches adulthood and passes all of her testing we arrange for her to be bred to a suitable stud. About a week before she is due to have her puppies she comes to stay with us so we can keep a close eye on her and be there to assist with the birthing process. She will stay with us for about 7 weeks and then go home to her family. Can anyone be a Guardian Home? No, our guardian homes are very carefully chosen based on this criteria:
